Privacy policy

Green Telescope Pty Ltd (ABN 28 607 343 135) handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy covers this website, our brands (including Court Carbon and Delta X Coach) and the software we use to answer customers on Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, SMS, email and web chat. Each brand's store may publish further terms, which apply alongside this policy.

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us: name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
  • Order and payment details. Card payments are processed by Shopify Payments or Stripe, and we never see or store full card numbers.
  • Messages and comments you send us: the text of messages you send to our brands' Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts (Messenger and Instagram Direct), comments you leave on our posts, and messages by WhatsApp, SMS, email and web chat.
  • Facebook and Instagram identifiers: the name shown on your profile and the page scoped or Instagram scoped ID that Meta gives our app for you. These IDs work only for our Pages and cannot be used to look you up elsewhere. We do not receive your friends list, your password or your other activity on Facebook or Instagram.
  • Website usage data and cookies used to run and improve our sites, including which of our links you opened.

How we use it

  • To answer your questions and messages, including replies drafted by our AI assistant on the brand's behalf.
  • To reply to comments on our posts, publicly or by a private message to you.
  • To keep one record of your conversation with a brand across channels, so you do not have to repeat yourself.
  • To process, deliver and support your orders.
  • To send marketing you have agreed to receive. Every message carries an easy way to opt out.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, we do not use your Facebook or Instagram data for advertising profiles, and we do not share it with data brokers.

Who we share it with

Only the providers we need to run the business, each under its own privacy terms: Amazon Web Services (hosting and storage), Anthropic (the AI model that drafts replies, which does not use our data to train its models), Meta (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp), Twilio (SMS), Shopify and Stripe (stores and payments), delivery carriers and our accountants.

Security and retention

Data is held on access controlled systems in Australia, and with some of the providers above in the United States. We keep conversation records for as long as you are a customer or prospective customer of the brand, and for up to 7 years where the law requires records of a sale. You can ask us to delete them at any time (see below).

Deleting your data

To have the messages, comments, names and identifiers we hold about you deleted, follow the steps on our data deletion page or email hello@greentelescope.com.au. You can also remove our app from your Facebook account at any time in Settings, Apps and Websites.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or raise a concern, by emailing hello@greentelescope.com.au. We reply within 5 business days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
